If you would like to opt-in to receive text messages from the Big Canoe Property Owner's Association, please follow the instructions given in the following quick tutorial video:

Big Canoe Text Messaging Sign Up

Texting and SMS messages will be sent from our website system to your registered mobile number when you place a tee time, create a Marina or Racquet Club reservation, or when our Communications department pushes out emergency alerts.

When signing up for text messaging, you will see a dropdown list of service providers to choose from as shown below:

If your cellular provider is not on this list, select the Other option. This will prompt for your Text Messaging Address which will appear in an email format and will differ depending on your service provider. You will enter in your mobile number in the first box before the @ symbol, and then your service provider's Text Messaging Domain in the second box after the @ symbol as shown in the example below:

For reference, here is a list of Text Messaging Domains for various other cellular service providers:

Note : When using one of the Text Messaging Domains for the different service providers listed above, replace "number" with your mobile number with no spaces or special characters. For example, if your mobile number is (987) 987-9876 and your service provider is Consumer Cellular, your Text Messaging Address would be [email protected].

Special Note : It's come to our attention that some Consumer Cellular customers using their default text messaging address of mailmymobile.net does not work. In these cases, please try selecting AT&T as the service provider and enter your mobile number to check if you receive the confirmation code upon signup. These situations occur when your plan is actually operating directly off of AT&T's network.

If your cellular service provider is not on the list above, please reach out to your service provider's technical support to inquire what Text Messaging Address you should be using for your mobile number. For any other questions, please contact the Big Canoe POA's IT department through AskThePOA.
